I guess playing around with cars can be useful after all! (p.24)
There is a girl who likes fixing cars and her parents don't understand her. Even her friend, Rick, don't think what she does is interesting. He doesn't even know how to find a part of car. However, her grandpa is the only one who understands her. Basically her fixing skill is from grandpa. She is watching what he does when he fixes cars. One day, Bonnie goes to a theme park with her parents. Actually she doesn't really want to go there, but they are going. On the way to the theme park, she hears strange sound. And then she realized it is because of fan belt. Her mom stops her, but she tries to fix it in heavy rain. Finally she can fix it and her parents know what she likes really.
I think misunderstanding between parents and children is really common stuff. In my case, I always have that kind of problem with my parents. I think they are wrong, but they think I am wrong. Actually they seem that they don't think I am wrong, but they know better way to do everything than me so they want to help me somehow. Unfortunately, I don't want to follow them. Am I selfish? (217)
